What To Expect

Laying the Foundation for Total Health

Chiropractic care is like building a house – certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. The same is true for your body. Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully.

There are three general phases of chiropractic care:

What To Expect

Phase 1: Intensive Care

The goal of this phase is to provide relief as quickly and as effectively as possible. Treatment focuses on chiropractic adjustments and other modalities.

What To Expect

Phase 2: Corrective Care

This phase is the most important when addressing your health goals because the focus is on fixing the problem that caused your issue in the first place.

What To Expect

Phase 3: Wellness Care

Now that you’ve put in all the work to fix the problem, this phase is the best way to continue to learn more ways to improve your health. Most patients value and incorporate these visits into their monthly health and wellness plans.

Maintenance Care vs. Wellness Care

  • Maintenance Care can be applied after Phase 1 or Phase 2, but it is what it sounds like. You are just looking to maintain your current state.
  • Wellness Care only comes after Corrective Care. You have fixed your problem and are looking at ways to maintain your progress and continue to improve your current health issue and overall health.

Along with our patient-centered approach, we offer both chiropractic and physical therapy. Teamed up with our sister companies, Bay State Physical Therapy and MVPT Physical Therapy, we can address your musculoskeletal and health needs at one convenient clinic location.
