JENNIFER SWANSON, DC

MCR Chiropractic – Wrentham

Dr. Jennifer Swanson grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island and attended the University of Rhode Island before graduating from New York Chiropractic College in 2020. At the University of Rhode Island, she studied Kinesiology with a focus in sports rehab, as this gained her clinical interest following a car accident when she was in high school.

Dr. Swanson first developed an interest in chiropractic care while interning at a local chiropractic office in her town. While interning, Dr. Swanson observed how chiropractic care encompassed an allopathic and collaborative approach to wellness. Within the first week, Dr. Swanson made her own appointment as she still had aches and pains that lingered from her car accident. Following her first adjustment, Dr. Swanson noticed immediately that she could move better. She was even able to run again pain free, which was something she had not been able to do for some time. Dr. Swanson knew her passion for helping others would drive her career, but it was at this point she knew chiropractic care was the decision for her.

Dr. Swanson is goal oriented and continuously strives tailor each visit to meet her patients’ individual goals. While caring for patients’ symptoms, she works to increase overall function through soft tissue treatments, adjustments, and at home exercises. Dr. Swanson believes in patient education to help patients understand where their pain is coming from, why, and how to lessen the chance of reoccurrence. Dr. Swanson enjoys providing care to all types of patients. Her experiences in techniques include Diversified, Thompson Drop, instrument assisted low force adjustments, as well as Cox Flexion and Distraction.

Dr. Swanson has an Advanced Certificate in Sports Rehab and is certified in Dry Needling, the Webster Technique, and Basic Rock Tape Application. When not in the office, Dr. Swanson is typically found running, swimming or surfing at the beach.
