Angela Francis, DCWalpole
Dr. Angela Francis is a Rhode Island native! She attended the University of Rhode Island (URI) in Kingston, RI where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She then attended the University of Bridgeport School of Chiropractic where she graduated with honors and received her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.
During her second year of college at URI she developed a love for the human body and how it moves. Since undergraduate school, Dr. Francis has had experience in the fitness industry working with both general and athlete populations. She holds an Exercise Physiologist Certification with the American College of Sports Medicine. While Dr. Francis had an interest in fitness and helping her clients reach their goals, she knew she wanted to expand her education and help people even more. This led her to the chiropractic profession and once enrolled in school, knew this was what she wanted for her career.
While attending the University of Bridgeport, Dr. Francis worked with a wide range of patients with the approach of techniques individualized to each person. She specializes in a combination of chiropractic techniques and manual therapy which include the diversified approach, myofascial release, pin & stretch, cupping, and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. She has recently obtained her certification in the Webster Technique, which allows her to expand upon her clinical interest in women’s health and work with pre and postnatal women. Dr. Francis’ number one goal is to decrease a patient’s pain, but helping her patients achieve optimal health and reaching their wellness goals are also an important aspect of the care she provides.
Dr. Francis’ favorite thing to do is wake up and have a coffee on her deck looking out at the ocean and enjoys the summer and fall seasons the most because she loves being outdoors. Living a physically active and healthy lifestyle means a lot to her, so she enjoys starting her day off with a workout.
